This was a very tired old building situated on the central downtown corridor in on High Street in Somersworth NH. It began life in 1945 as a Ben Franklin Five & Dime what in the day was the equivalent of a Target store today. The store thrived as a central hub or retail activity downtown until the 1960’s when urban sprawl began and these retail establishments giving way to the large shopping malls that are now themselves being threatened by the eCommerce leaders like Amazon.

The store ultimately closed and the store wore many faces over the years from an arcade, various retail establishments and its last incarnation as a used furniture and goods store.

This property was purchased in 2014 and has been under a complete multiyear renovation. The property was stripped down to its bare bones and reconstructed from the ground up.

Today it is home to a thriving Tea shop and an adjacent small arts space and a luxury corporate 2 BR apartment with an one of a kind 1,250 sq ft mahogany deck adorned with trees, grasses and a pergola, ideally suited for social gatherings and entertainment
